The desiccant rotor
operates on the silicagel adsorption property and
has a long working life.
The desiccant wheel
rotates in a system with two air flows: The
process air passes through the main part of the
wheel cross-section and becomes drier because
water vapour moves over desiccant material.
The moisture is removed from the material by
heated reactivation air on a smaller area of the
wheel cross-section. This process is continuous
and uniform as a result of the rotation effect.
